Peter has spent more than 30 years in financial services, focusing on custody and clearing evaluations, platform and contract review, firm transitions and onboarding, and strategic planning, M&A, and growth assistance. He works with self-clearing regional and fully disclosed independent broker-dealers, RIA and hybrid firms, and breakaway advisors.
Prior to joining the firm, he was Senior Vice President and Business Development Officer at First Clearing, responsible for external asset growth through the addition of new broker-dealer and RIA firms and for supporting client firms’ own growth through recruiting and M&A. Earlier, he served as Vice President at Pershing in business development and relationship management, joining through its acquisition of the correspondent clearing business of DB Alex. Brown, where he had held similar roles in prime brokerage and correspondent clearing. He began his career at Legg Mason in operations, products and services, new product development, and correspondent clearing business development.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Virginia and completed the Securities Industry Institute program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
