Pete joined the firm in 2011, bringing deep industry experience and a network of relationships built over decades at the center of the broker-dealer and wealth management landscape.
A member of the CRC Oyster Executive Leadership Team, he serves as Managing Director of Strategic Planning and Execution Services, working with major platform providers, retail, bank, and insurance broker-dealers, and RIAs on strategic initiatives, clearing decisions, platform and service provider changes, and new business opportunities including succession planning and firm matching. A skilled negotiator with extensive executive experience, Pete has led platform operations efforts across numerous broker-dealer, bank, and independent firm mergers, including what was, at the time, the industry’s largest retail firm conversion: the transition of Prudential Securities into First Union Securities. His institutional knowledge of how these organizations operate from the inside gives him a perspective clients find both practical and hard to come by. Earlier in his career, he held progressively senior roles at Wheat First Securities before being appointed Director of Operations of First Clearing, the clearing subsidiary of Wachovia Securities, where he led the development of a next-generation automated operations platform. He later joined Wachovia’s Correspondent Clearing Services division as Segment Director, overseeing top-tier client relationships and contributing across product development and sales.
Pete holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University.
