Dan is an operations and technology executive with over 35 years of experience across RIA firms, broker-dealers, clearing firms, and futures commission merchants; he joined the firm in 2024.
He has held CEO, COO, and technology officer roles throughout his career – including CEO of Sterne Agee Asset Management and Managing Director and Business Technology Officer at StoneX – and brings deep expertise in digital transformation, proprietary application development, cloud and API strategy, and operational efficiency. At CRC Oyster, Dan provides technology strategy and execution for RIA, broker-dealer, and clearing firm clients, advises on the compliant adoption of generative AI applications, and offers fractional business and digital strategy leadership for fintech startups and growing financial services firms. He has built and led agile development teams, guided firms through complex transitions and acquisitions, and developed customer analytics tools and market data delivery systems across a career spanning both established institutions and entrepreneurial ventures.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Economics from California State University, Sacramento, and has twice served as Chairman of the Advisory Operations Roundtable, an RIA industry peer group.
