Buddy is a financial services executive whose career spans more than three decades of leadership, innovation, and firm-building, and a member of the CRC Oyster Executive Leadership Team.
As the founder and former CEO of Oyster Consulting, he built an award-winning organization serving hundreds of clients across consulting, outsourcing, and software solutions, grounded in the belief that experienced industry practitioners make the most effective consultants. Following CRC’s acquisition of Oyster in June 2025, Buddy brings that same philosophy and entrepreneurial energy to the combined CRC Oyster platform. Before founding Oyster in 2008, he served as Senior Vice President at Wachovia Securities, holding leadership roles across Operations, Finance, Commodities, Technology, Compliance, and the Private Client Group. He began his career at Wheat First Securities, a regional firm of 50 offices and 500 brokers that grew through ten acquisitions and mergers into one of the largest firms in the United States, an early and enduring education in how firms scale, adapt, and thrive.
Buddy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a member of the NSCP.
