Armando pairs regulatory authority with legal depth – a combination that makes him a standout resource in the crypto and fintech compliance space.
Before joining CRC Oyster in 2025, he spent nearly a decade in FINRA’s Membership Application Program (MAP) Group, first as an Examiner on the MAP legacy ROOR team covering large, self-clearing, omnibus, and correspondent clearing firms, and most recently as Manager of the MAP Retail Crypto and Fintech team. A recognized subject matter expert in crypto and fintech, Armando was appointed as the MAP Group’s liaison representative to FINRA’s Crypto Hub, an interdepartmental initiative established to develop internal resources, tools, and training on crypto asset issues. Earlier in his career, he practiced securities, intellectual property, and bankruptcy law across various private sector settings.
